9th annual Mid-Winter Hot Rod & Drag Racing Nostalgia Fest

It is that time of year again for the Mid-Winter Hot Rod & Drag Racing Fest. Come join us Saturday Jan. 5, 2013,from 1-6 pm , for an afternoon of fun and gathering with friends, at the Elks Hall in Hudson, MA. We will be showing racing footage from the old days and some from this past summer. There will be vendors selling cool stuff, plus food is available. Representatives from New England Dragway, Winterport, Oxford and Orange Drag Strip, will be in atendance to answer your questions. Special guest appearances from the NHRA Museum... Steve Gibbs, Larry Fisher, and Greg Sharp. They are coming from California to meet and talk with New England racers and spectators about the upcoming New England Hot Rod Reunion. Weather permitting there will be a few race cars outside and parking for hot rods.

 

Only a few weeks away, always have a good time up there.

Was a good time last year got to drive the Hot Rod there to. I dont think it will happen this year. I hope to make it

Good to see everyone today, it was good to get off the couch for a little bit. It was really packed inside. Here's a few pics of the drag cars outside. Bad Penny and I went out for a burger and chicken wings after. Sorry you missed it Dave!

I had a fun time yesterday at the Winter Drag Fest. Thanks to Fred Hire for putting this show on each year. We could not have had better weather for the first Saturday in January. The place was packed inside and out with friendly familiar faces. The folks from NHRA were pleased with the enthusiasm from the crowd about the upcoming New England Hot Rod Reunion. There was a lot of buzz about new cars being built for the 2013 season. So I think we will have a fun summer ahead of us. I have some pictures I will adding a little later today.
