Anybody know how far you can bore a 341. It is now 60 over if I take it to 4.00 in. it will cleanup? This way I can use a standard 368 piston, will take all the help I can get.

You should be able to do it. Most all of those Lincolns will go to 4.125. But have it sonic checked first to be sure. Cool motor please tell more about the build.

Going for a sonic test, it was in a old liquor car, was done by Lemons Speed shop in Eden N.C. Now it is going in a 50 ford B.C., so far have found everything but the spec. on the cam all it says is Isky Full race. Found a steel ECU crank, kits for the 2-teapot carbs, it had a Edmunds 2x2 intake, 2-ECU heads. Allready have a 368,2-4s, 3-speed o/d, just like to tinker with the stuff before its all gone. Gonna have some stuff left over if like to drive down south.

I was going to rebuild the 368 and put it in my truck, but I may just drop in the 332 since it is a running motor. What are you hoping to do with a 368?

I bought this motor from a friend who had it 30+ years in his barn. I asked him if it turned over. He could only get half a turn out of it, so he tore it apart, literally. It turns out one cylinder was full of acorns, cause someone didn't leave the air cleaner on it. So I have a complete motor, but half is in boxes. Plus I already have bought NOS main, connecting rod bearings, and standard rings for it. He is a diesel mechanic, and told me the motor came out of a friends Lincoln that had been totaled with only 30,000 miles on it.

Those are great performers when the head problems are resolved. I still see some top performers using the Y block engines who have taken the right steps. The 341 was one that even the California law folks used for pursuit engines on the highways with great success.
