Incredible variety and quality despite/because of the huge quantity. What a feast. and so many of my fave builders so well represented!!! Thanx to everyone so far.

Here’s my “Class of 2012”, 9 in all in a year where I started a lot more but got a lot fewer done…. I had two waiting on the bench for completion when I cruised into the holiday season, ran headlong into a little too much good cheer, and caught a nasty head cold. Oh well, now they’re on my NNL West 2013 list. I hope to see some of you there.

All my very best to you all for the New Year and, as always, thanx for lookin’,
    B.

Hi every one, this is a diaroma of the Barris Kustom city that we did for a model car show. There is a thread about it and the journey we took to building it. Here it is all finished up. And have a Happy new year everyone.

I have put model cars and planes together for over 60 years and NEVEr got close to some of these.
These are intimidating, to say the least.
I look for inspiration and motivation, but!

Cool stuff, thanks for all the pictures guys!

In 2013 I need to get my act together....I kind of gave up in 2012. Did a few things here and there but never got my necessary paint booth built. No paint booth, no painting, no modeling being done.

Although a paint booth is a great aid in achieving high quality coatings, some of my best finishes have occurred on top of a trash can.

And, halfassedcustoms, much KUDOS to your posts of very high quality model show(s)
    Thanks...

That merc 4-door is something I have been looking for for ever! Was that a kit or is it a scratch built car? I have started scratch building one but there are some areas that are really hard to get right and that one with the opening doors is really awesome! Jim

That 4 door was made that way from a reg 2 door kit. Hescratch built the post between the 2 doors and then hinged them.
