That's a great looking 40 Ford at any price...almost any price.
I wouldn't sell my 39 Deluxe for under $25,000 and it's been sitting for years.
have fun with it. There's always someone else wanting it.
And mine came from central Illinois.

Paid $50.00 for my 39 and sold the parts I did not need for $65.00. That was in 1966 Ha Ha

Skidmarks,...Those frames are out there,...I'd buy it, WITH a rotten frame !!! One of my "parts trucks" frame is rusted badly, in rear section,... Found a good frame at a swap meet, and the 40 pickup and pass car frames are identical, and interchangeable.

not that anyone asked, heres the one i paid 7500.00 for in 2008. no motor or trans, wrong frame. looking at your pictures, i'd say you did great. i'm leaning up some wheels pretending it's complete. maybe one more year and i'll start on it!

Jump on it. My neighbor sold a body on a butchered up frame...no floor, no fenders, no engine, no trans.....for $15K. I have a barn fresh standard coupe that is complete, with a running 59A.....I wouldn't sell it for $30K. BUY it now before I find where you are and steal that one away from you!

O, you got it, good!!! Mine is just a bit dustier than yours, but I have both a deluxe hood and grille and a std hood if I want to change it. Does yours still have only one tail light? Nice car! Have a great time with it!

Usually guys come on here wanting to know whether they should buy a car at $xx asking price.

Sounds to me like you bought it, and came here wondering if you got a steal.

Well if you already bought it, what's the difference -- unless you're going to flip it.

you did well-I bought one recently and pd more than that and was glad to get it. Guy stopped by yesterday that I had never met with an outstanding dead stock black 40 std coupe--really nice with fresh flathead, etc. but it is $30K.
