Not too sure if I like 'em much or not, but I've owned 7 of them. Yeah... I guess I DO like 'em!

One of the first drag cars I remember seeing (I guess I was in the first grade) was a blue '57 Ford all lettered up. That definitely stoked the fire!

  2. raised in a junkyard and when my dad would crush out cars every so often he would keep the fords and crush the rest ! ive always loved the style of the 57's and have had two 57 ranchero's in the past got me a custom off of tony mcconnel he had bought it out of a junk yard found a little history on it was raced bu mike hood not sure of drivetrain heard couple different versions one y block other 427 now has a 429 in it and back stirring future plans call for rust repair and paint !

i have been looking high and low for these headlight bezels and can't find 'em!! any ideas as far as what they are off of? i heard they were off a 56 ford truck grill set up, but i don't think so. i met this guy years ago with this wagon, he was tight lipped about where they came from.

Nice, nice stuff!! You have inspired me to get my Fairlane up and running! What is the story on the Courier; that was my first car in '69! Happy New Year!! Mike.

  16. Thought I might add a photo from the local Ford Dealership here in Anderson,South Carolina that was dated 1957,,wouldn't it be nice to swing by and stroll through the new cars out front. :)

BTW,this is the actual dealership my wife's grandmother purchased her '54 wagon. HRP

Too bad. There's a company in Australia that makes a close approximation, but they are very expensive and the shipping would kill you.

Great car BTW, I'd love to see more pics, when do you think you'll have it finished?

  21. I'm doing it slowly as time and money will allow.it was a basket case when I found it. I have a lot of history on it including the 1963 Hot Rod Custom Car Annual. It was called Gold Digger. There a lot of pictures on my profile. Thank you!
