I don't know where the car is now but back in 1970 I was in the Air Force stationed at March AFB. I purchased a 371 gmc blower from another airman and needed someone to check clearances. Long story short I went to Yucaipa and met the owner of the 57 your looking for, he was still building it. I thought it was one of the coolest projects I'd ever seen

57 olds/ponco rear with coil overs, ladder bars with watts link type sway bar. 58 Buick axles re cut to olds/ponco splines. very strong for those days. Used the large Buick drum aluminum fined brakes.
If you look through all the pages on this link you will see a photo of same.

Post 141 to be exact. I had to go look at it again so I figured I'd post it.

With all the responses Monster Flake received from his Craigslist post, I wonder if he could try a couple of other angles in the area? Not everyone reads Craigslist or frequents the internet.
How about posting an ad in the local Pennysaver or Recycler type free newspapers? Also, maybe a flyer with with photos of the red painted version posted in the local auto parts stores, machine shop, wrecking yards, etc?

Even with the engine placed back in the stock location (which must have been a ton of work-linkages, steering, etc.) its tough to hide that front axle, Olds rear and the fact that its a 210, not a Bel Air.

I bet its a typical deal of the engine going belly up and the car is collecting dust in a garage waiting to be rescued.

Fiat. Don't remember what year. It was 1969 when I started this project.

I asked Car Craft for help. Haven't heard from them yet.

it was 'restored' to a stock-type dash and suspension. i'm sure there's more known about the car, but it's keeping it's secrets well-hidden...

I got excited last week, I got a call about a red 150 up north of me. Turns out to be a turquoise car with a really old red paint job...oh well! (I am buying it though!)

I hear ya, Dan, you always have to check these things out, though. When I first heard about this one it was supposedly a hardtop! They then said it has posts and just a spear for trim...and A/C! I'm curious and a little excited...a 150 with A/C!!! Someone attached the suitcase from a Chevelle/Camaro/Nova to the firewall!
    The hunt goes on.....

One would think that after 70,765 views on this thread that someone would know where this car is.
