Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by eastcoast57, Dec 26, 2012.

  1. Trying to finish another coupe for the DETROIT dead line... this time a severely metal worked 'a' on deuce rails...Anti sectioned on bottom, sedan doors, chop has been really fine tweaked, note the radius of the rear quarter windows and rear window-

Body has a lot of trick stuff goin on with it, i will get into more detail later..
Mill is a desoto baby hemi, 6 94s on an eelco log manifold- camaro 5 spd out back..

We have been busting ass on it, Will be finished and painted by Autorama..

That is one sweet looking A Coupe. What colour is she going to be?
Can you post some 'Before' and 'During' pics to show us how you got to this point?
    Please.
    Cheers.

Oh yeah, and don't forget all the 'After' photos too!

  7. Looks good, but hope you don't leave it bare metal...looks like a Green Grenade knock off...

The car is sinister looking. Love the chop. Do the floors drop down inside the frame rails for increased head room?

Love the dash, but your pitman arm looks a little weak!
That is going to be super nice, great work.

  11. Like i said in the original post, car will be finished and painted for Autorama. There are a lot of differences between this build and Kris's car, if you look hard enough. Thanks.

  12. Very sweet. Man you guys in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, and oh yea', Wisconsin put together some super nice chopped A Coupes. Been a bunch of 'em coming out of that area in recent years. Keep up the great work.

  13. Cool looking A-bone.

The rear tin treatment is nice. I may have to steal that idea since I sold off that bottom piece.

So rad dude!!!!! I talked to your old man about it at Hershey and I totally pictured it in my head like this. So cool....

I see the Hershey Swap Dash made it into the car also! Your father got that for like $30 right??

    Kick Ass Coupe!!!

  29. chop is 6 inches, with the extra material added to the bottom, it leaves plenty of room in the car without any kind of recessed floor pans. Im 6' 1" and there is plenty of clearance.

gunswanted- it is a 330 out of a '56. will be running a progressive set up with all 6 carbs, eventually. Ive done the six strombergs straight up and it was worth it but maybe not the time and $$ involved in the long run.

JJ- Yea, that is the dash from Hershey. It wasnt half bad after being d.a.'ed and sanded down. It takes more than a little bit to fit it in an A but it looks cool.

The body will be painted a special shade of BLACK for all who were wondering. Thanks for the interest guys, will keep this updated
