These last 2 pics are truly amazing to me! I love wreckers and this one is probably why!

Thaks for posting those pictures are awesome, really clear and the color fantastic. I like looking at the details of the cars at the time, it is an interesting cover on the pitman arm of that green 32 coupe.

This green '32 Ford is still in existence to this day. It is based out of Dubuque, IA. The owner is next to the car. He shows it at many shows around the midwest including Torque Fest.

Thanks for posting these photos. They bring back alot of memories. The 1933 Duesenberg was owned by C.H. (Doc) Elsner in Crete, NB. The purple 40 Ford was owned by John Pierce of Omaha, it was Olds powered, the Hybrid Bird was built by Dave Puhl of Chicago, behind the Hybrid Bird in the second photo is Ray Minors brand new 59 El Camino scalloped by Alan Perry with upholstery by Ponds in Des Moines. The white 32 Victoria looks like Cleo Aherns out of Madrid, IA. Again thanks for posting.

I'd like to see the others. I had seen it and saved it years ago. That's Ray Farhner's brother John unloading it.

Looks like the Volvo on the hook has a Dave Ostrem Imports sign - any Des Moines guys remember if this was their wrecker?

And is this the basement of Vets Auditorium?

I guess by the name that the T-bird has a Hemi or Chevy in it.

    And not an electric motor...:D

Yeah, you can peak a Chrysler script on seemingly a valve cover on one of the pics.
That 'bird is bad ass regardless of what moves it. Interior is so kool i'd drive it even with an electric motor!

I think the valve cover on the T-Bird says Mercury, not Chrysler.
