Days are now getting longer. Minus 30 wind chill today in Red Deer. Model A sits patiently in the garage. Hate winter.

Guess I'll respond to this thread also. Cold outside, but warm as toast in the garage where I should be right now.

  23. What exactly are you driving at?

Our population is about the same as California now BTW.

Canada's population was very agrarian based until the 40's when WW2 helped increase our industrial base markedly. We supplied a lot of materiel and machinery to the war effort for the 3 years we were in it before the US entered. Our economy is still extremely resourced based thus market pressure affect our two economies differently. Our stock market indexes actual rise when oil, mining & raw material prices go up whereas generally yours go down as energy and raw material costs increase.

Market demographics have everything to do with products & services that are produced.

Merry Christmas from Vancouver. Just saw this thread. I remember a lot of those Canadian cars and at present have a "42 Fargo and a '56 Meteor. I think I have to go out and mow the lawn. LOL

  25. We have 5 of the top manufactures with plants in Canada you really think someone is going to be able to start up a New car company and compete it any way with them?

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I don't really give a shit about modern cars or where they are made. If you do, you're on the wrong forum.

Have a healthy and safe 2013, and may it be an excellent cruise season for all.

Won't be going for a cruise this Xmas, -23 and way too much snow on the roads.
