    Dead on!

I'd lose the high back buckets, add a roll bar and fenderwell headers. Pop in some headlights and drive it to work.

Nice to see a tri five without a straight axle. Get that thing back on the strip / street. Another 427 would be nice but a 496 dressed old school would be even better

I'll make a killer deal on a buff/polish/glaze on that paint. I'm near Cedar Rapids IA.

  8. I hope to get the dad to read this soon! I think the car will shine up perfectly!

X2 on letting Nick give the paint a revival. This car has GOT to get out and about again.

Ok, Dad.... your son wants you to look at something on YouTube. He is going to search "Meltdown Drags" After watching videos, and wiping drool off of your chin, remember you only have about 6 1/2 months to get it ready!!!

  13. YA! This would be a perfect car for the Meltdown!

For gods sake DAD do something with it. Put a low buck beater motor in it ............ a stick .......... and some fun 7000 launches. Those cheap engines are the funnest and seem to last forever too.

C'mon Dad. How cool would it be to have the bragging rights to a car that had the look of the american Graffitti and two lane blacktop 55 chevy even before the movie was thought of. I had one back in 1970 that looked just like yours. It was an old big block race car that I took to the street. It had a 292 small block, m22 rock crusher 4 speed, open wheel wells, and 12 inch M/H Wrinkle wall slicks, all this running to a 513 ratio 8 3/4 chrysler rear axle. This 55 chevy was probably the most fun I have had with a car. You and you son could have these same memories that I have. Sadly mine barely made it through the summer because of a drunk driver. I wrote an article for Rojer Jetter that was published under his collumn in the Good Guys Gazette magazine last year titled the Curtis Marauders. It is all about that summer of cruising , late night drag racing , and girls. not exactly in that order. Please get that car out for all of us.

  18. Get him to watch some vintage drag racing videos on you tube! That should get him going.
