also see the post about your 1st car. I think all of us have that sentimental spot for the 1st one whether its a car or back seat girlfriend. My 1st car is on the 1st car posting.

An Avenger GT by Fiberfab. Was really well done originally. Had it for 4 days, sold it for 10x what I paid, but people still remember it and ask me if I still have it. I did keep the Fenton wheels though, they're on my '57 Chevy now.

Both of these. I know that one is a bike but they are stored in the same picture. Car was traded in 1967 or so and the bike was sold in 1971.

  8. Sold my '65 Riviera after owning it for 12 years to help finance my '29 model A roadster and
1927 Tall T coupe builds. Both are approaching the halfway point and I'm nowhere near having either on the road. And the money is long gone. What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment. Still get weak in the knees every time I see a nice Riviera. Such is life and the nature of this disease.

  9. Funny. I want to list this one too! I WISH I could have kept it.

You just can't keep 'em ALL.

I wouldn't really say I wised I hadn't sold them because I used the money to pay off some stuff that was breathing down my kneck but I wish I still had at least one of these 4drs I had. They were both fun beaters, good drivers and a blast to roll down the road in. The '58 in the first pic was a rare car, one of 1100.

I'd like to have them all back for ONE day... along with being 21.. oldsters now (1st thumbnail). Been through a lot of cars but still with the same girl.... she loaned me $300.00 to buy the purple metal flaked 29 roadster in '67 for $900. cause all my $$ went towards the AC Cobra payments !!! $8200. was a heavy lift for a car back then.

Here are just a few of the mistakes I've made!!!!

I should have kept them all....

because now I don't have the cars and the money got pissed away!

And believe it or not... there are actually more.

  17. I had a few favorites, but none that I couldn't live without. If I hadn't sold them then the cars to follow just wouldn't have happened for me. Its like dominos.

    Can't find a picture right now of my 1963 Maserati 3500GTi Touring, but these two I do miss. 1970 454 4spd (most fun I've had in a daily driver) and a 1970 RR convertible 383 4spd ..

Of the many cars I've sold, my '37 Plymouth shop truck is the one I've regretted selling the most, almost from the moment I sold it. Sold it in 1983 and used the money to buy a new Harley.

  19. I regret not having many of the cars I had way back when. The 65 Cyclone 289 4 speed, 54 Ford 2 door post V8 stick, about 30 different 57 Chevy 150's, 61 Impala 2dr ht, and the only one I have a picture of, my 57 Corvette straight out of the left coast.

This. The guy who has it now has offered to let me buy it back but at this time I can't afford to.

I had to sell it to buy my "dream car" 65 Riviera, but I still wish I could have kept my chopped 54 Chebby, I had planned on making it look like the Dan Picasso drawing in Rod and Custom years back, but life moves on!:(..Brian

I wish I could have most of them back, but these were the biggest mistakes I ever made:
[IMG] Oh and the '57 Ragtop that I can't find pictures of.

  25. Wish I had both back, especially the 1954

  26. Both of them! I had a '53 F100 short-box, and a '70 F100 long-box. No pics of them though but if given a choice I wouldn't mind having the '53 back. The '70 ran great but got p***-poor gas mileage and was a rustbucket.

  27. How much time you got? Most of the cars I've owned (over 300) I regretted selling but I've learned never to get too attached to one car...wlll, except for that 58 Impala, that 55 Buick, that 37 Chevy delivery, that 38 Chevy delivery, that 41 Ford sedan delivery, that 55 Ford PU gasser, that 33 Plymouth, those 1960's Chevy trucks...never mind.

This was a couple more..The 54 chevy is one I think about all the time..The best part about that car was my children all grew up in it. They talk about it all the time. We had it for years and it was a great runner.. 54 235, 3 speed, powerglide rearend, edmunds dual intake, fenton headers and 22 inch glass packs..The kids new when I was coming down the street. Thanks for all the post.I have had a great time reading all of them and enjoy the photos.
