It seems that nobody had start a model sunday thread. Ok here some pictures of my current project. I had detailed the heavy weld lines with bare metal foil and remove the paint with a rounded wood To get some minor comfort for the passengers I at some foam to the bomber seats
Well here's my 1/8 scale sprinter all finished up and ready to ship to Indiana. I have started another winged pavement sprint car for a guy in South Africa.
Looks like another great model car Sunday. Thought I would add to it with a scratch built White COE car hauler project that's on a stand still.Enjoy. Tcab
This is my first attempt on building a weathered model. I am always intrigued by racecar Barn Finds, so I thought I might try it with this glue bomb I picked up at a swap meet. I stripped off the paint using Super Clean another first for me, I like the results. I primed, then painted the body with Dupicolor aqua paint. Added some lettering then wet sanded the paint. The wheels and tires are from the parts box with added rust and corrosion. The engine was reworked to look like it threw a rod out the side of the block resulting in a blower explosion. I used water based paints to add the rust and grime to all surfaces, trying to give it a look like the owner just gave up and stored the old racer away in barn.
miwi, that is looking great! I'm not a 'rat rod' fan but I can really appreciate it in scaled form. Love all the details and hope your'll post it again when the engine detail is done! Cool stuff everyone, thanks for sharing it!
Scratch built brass chassis in H.O. scale by master builder Bill Hall! You can see more here: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=215904&page=183
I've been slacking on my older style models. Been messing with some Corvairs and they aren't really HAMB material. But i did repaint and detail the 55 Gasser that HotWheels brought out.
Not hamb friendly, but will be once the '37 Chevy dirt car is on the trailer behind it..... Converted to shortbed, A/C equipped.
The Monogram A renovation and the A panel are making progress. Those will go on hold while the Tri-five build off car(s) get done.
It is already built. The Olds is modeled after Jesus Valenzuela's Maroon LA based '50 Chev that's been around for years. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=Jesu...0&ndsp=75&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:91&tx=82&ty=67
Steveb, both of those builds are looking fantastic. The padded top is nice but that chop on the '50 is simply spectacular!! I love it! Doc. (P.S.) I am adding you to my 'Most Hated' list, this is driven by plane jealousy that I cant chop a top that well!
