348.150 two way record average. 300 inch DeSoto. You got something faster?

That was music to my ears. I had to replay it a few times just to let it soak in.

Thanks for the link. An amazing speed for a 300 " motor. I'm surprised I don't see more of these motors in street driven hot rods. What with the name, the looks, & the somewhat smaller size.

I get to listen to a 330 DeSoto with dual Smithys a couple times a week. No need for a stereo. That little motor motivates my heavy ass car no problems.

    Hey Rich!!!
Gotta get my speakers up and running!!!
Moved up to Auburn last month. A bit of a culture shock it is...Shaved heads and jacked up Dodge Rams...with f u attitudes.
San Carlos is hard to beat.
Taking 6 pills a day. Leaves me feeling weak.
Anyway the house is nice and plenty of room for the 48 P U and 65 in the garage. Desoto mill is going on 20 yrs next month! Hans Kugel build.
Had Howard Ave. Auto in S. C. tune them both before leaving. A 1 service.
    So how ya be???

  18. Oh, yeah. My best friend and next door neighbor had a '57 mordor. Heavy car, but scooted. Would smoke the tires every time.

Smaller Physically than a Chrysler Yes. I've got a 330 out in the milkhouse waiting it's turn at having a car to go in with an overdrive three speed to go behind it.

It's always something sitting at the four or five mile mark and hearing the air break around the fast cars before you actually hear the car's engine at Bonneville. Then that sweet sounding engine comes within hearing range.

I hear ya. I have friends that ran at Bonneville and at Maxton. They now run here in Maine at Loring . I was going to try my hand at it a couple years ago in friend Corvette but didn't get the chance to . The waiting in line is a killer.

Everyone defines it differently. Some call all Dodges and DeSoto 'babies' compared to the Chrysler.
