    Yep suicide knob is what they've been called around here in Indy as far back as I can remember. But that maybe only yesterday. My wife says I have selective memory. Anyway if anyone know where I can get a glass Marilyn Monroe I'd be very grateful.

    Not to change the subject of this post but now that we know what a neckers knob is, how many know were necking gear is on a Model A transmission?

  4. I remember my uncle had a Betty Page necker knob in his 64 Chevy,as a kid I always peaked in his car to get a eye full! :D HRP

    Not as popular today, against the law and with power steering and all. I have a plain one on my tractor. Got it at Tractor Supply.

    The hinged round bracket is an old stainless steel little snotty yachty bit I modified. Was able to get a sealed bearing in there for ease then welded in the S.S. fist butt plug.
    Wait till I get to work on the shifter....

    On a model a you can pull up on the gear shift and move it out of the way..
