Hey thanks for all the props this week fellers:).. Usually I think people avoid saying anything for fear I'll go "facebook" on them:).... (Im trying to avoid that these days:) Its always nice to get some feedback tho. I love seeing all the great stuff posted here, the art show is truely the only reason Im really on the HAMB. This is the only thing i know of like it and even though I rarely comment on any particular piece of work (cause I dont want to piss anyone else off), I look at and admire all of them.... anyway, 'nuff of that mush.... I keep thinking about starting a semi-phony club/organization for artists like all of us here.. This is the crest I have in mind, kind of a masonsesk royal dealio... any thoughts??? any suggestions???
The goal is to produce A sticker, T-shirt and phony club charter.... This is my first ruff design :)

I pinstriped a motorcycle helmet for my friend, and his wife's purse (shhh... it's a Christmas present!). I cut down the bamboo from a park somewhere in California, then cut it to fit. I added more detail to the flying eyeball after I took the picture--it was more of an excuse to try new brushes, and I did it in a hurry. Also, I don't have a working hot rod, so I hot rodded my bathroom, haha.... hope this is HAMB friendly.

sorry the pictures are horizontal--i can't figure out how to make 'em vertical.

i'm pretty sure Bob Burns owns the copyrights to the flying eyeball and Von Dutch Originals actually was infringing upon that. Howard would not care if you used it and there is even a statement of facts, written by him, reproduced on the "Originals" website.

Is there an archive of Friday art shows on here somewhere? I tried the search function and they don't come up. Any way to go back and look at old ones?

  30. Call their bluff, ask them to produce their own documentation. It seems this kind of cease and desist notification would come through a lawyer and would likely be a certified letter. I'd follow Tommy's lead and bring in the official "Officially" licensed owners of the brand and throw it back at these guys.
