anyone have any pics of that hotrod volvo that was posted on here awhile ago. atleast i think it was a volvo
I used to have some, but I can't find them now. Are you thinking of that choped 122... looked like a mini merc? Evel was building a 122. Maybe he saved some pics
Tex Smith's dollar a pond roadster is running a Volvo rear end, front disc brakes and wheels. Does that count? It's powered by a Pontiac OHC-6 Tex must like inliners, since he also put one (slant-6 Mopar) in the XR-6 Oakland roadster show winner
I have had 2 hotrod Volvos. A 122 and a 240. 63 122. Twin Turbo 283, bagged 85 240 Shaved, bagged, flame throwers, blown
More kustom than hotrod, but a kool Amazon anyway... Blown240, Can you post a couple more pics of your Amazon?
sure: I actually dont have it anymore. I had to get rid of if so I could get my 51 Chevy. Its a shame too. I offered it for free on some of the Volvo boards (didnt know about HAMB), but no one wanted it. So I got it hauled off to the scrapper.
Ive built several 240's with SBC power, all customer orders. Just waiting for my wife to blow the 230B engine in her 940! SBC (and SBF) Volvo, Jag, Mercedes and BMW are quite popular out here. With the price of repairs on the luxury Jap models Im sure some of those are getting American V8's also.
I remember seeing a pearl yellow Mercedes 190 SL with a Buick V6. The owner traveled a lot doing sales "peptalks" and wouldn't get on an airplane. He said the car had 900,000 miles on it, and the original piece of crap" engine only went 150, 000 so he had Mickey Thompason adapt the Buick into it, and he was on his third Buick engine. This was in '67.
Here is mine. Was a daily driver up until last winter. Time for rebuild, repaint after all body work is done. 1980 262C Bertone with 1988 Ford 5.0 with 5 Speed. Fun Sleeper.
Bertones are cool, I can barely fit my head under that chop, and they have such a funky interior... very cool cars.
Check out this Vid: This is where my screenname comes from: http://www.hardcars.com/blown240/burnout.MPG
Damn shame to haul all that work to the junkyard!!! I can't believe no one on TurboBricks would have snatched that up... Hell, i can't believe I never saw it on T-bricks.
Mojo, I'm 6'8" tall, hence the TooTall Handle And I drive the Bertone as a daily driver. I removed the stock seat riser and front seats and put in a pair of seats from a Dodge Daytona. But before that I practically had to lay down to drive it. But it sure is fun.
Yikes, I can really see that. I'm 6'5", my head was against the headliner on the one I was in. I think I saw a Bertone around here with a for sale sign a while back. Interesting car...
ni it might not have been a volvo. all i know it is had a spiky front and rear to it and was on the ground and was bad ass. was on a trailer i belive
