I'm a lifelong car nut from Kansas. Got attached to the old 50's and 60's metal when I was young (er), and I have always been a fan. Muscle cars are OK too, though. I'm especially fond of the late 50's GM products, you know, the ones with more weight in the chrome than under the hood. I have been a Ford dealer employee for over 35 years, and started my Ford career in the shop, moved to parts and spent over 25 years behind the counter. Hopefully, I can be of some assistance to you Ford guys out there, as I have sold an awful lot of T-Bird, Mustang, and engine parts over the years. What fits what never really goes away, eh? I am currently in the middle of restoring a 1955 Cadillac, have a 1967 Galaxie, a 1957 Chevy 210 sport coupe, a 1958 Edsel, a 1928 Model A, and a 1949 F1. They are all in the various stages of completion, but a real car nut never see's anything as finished, right? I hope to be able to assist you Ford guys with any questions about what fits what, and could probably use some help on the Caddy from time to time. Glad to be here.
If any of you Kansas folks want to join us tomorrow for the 3rd Annual Mid Decembrrrr Run, I'd love to meet even more new folks!
Welcome from Rural Franklin County Kansas... Can never have enough knowledge some much to learn so little time.
It's good to know our sport is alive and well everywhere. I have German roots myself, my Great Grandfather came over in 1872 or thereabouts. I have always wanted to visit, especially the villages that bear our family name, Romstedt. Any photos from the area would be much appreciated.
..nice to hear! i only found the village called Römstedt, if it is, then i'm about 60 - 70 mls away, it is located southeast of Hamburg, i'm in the northwest.. when i'm some day in that area again, i will take some pics for you.. funny, in reverse my car came over from northern KS .... Cheers, Carsten
