So I picked another shoebox and I'm going to try to build a pre 60 kustom. I've got a pair of 1956 Oldsmobile 98 taillights I was thinking about running those. Any suggestions on how? or has anyone done this one? I was thinking about removing the wind spear and having the chrome rib face out..... What do you guys think?

He has all the sheet metal I only have the taillight assembly. My concern would be depth I don't want them to stick out so far.or should I just keep it simple and flip the stock lights and remove the wind split

That looks awesome! If you have the full quarter like that weld them in, it would look so sweet with extended quarters!
