Just picked up a 1938 flathead and am trying to niece together the clutch. Does anyone have a diagram of that clutch set up? Thanks in advance... I can find one for the later 8ba motors, but not for this older one.

No idea but I think it would be the same for all of them.

The reason I'm asking is that I have one off a 49 flathead and was hoping it will work

There are a bunch of truck, passenger, and merc clutches for late flatheads...if it is a Long (like the one shown) and is Ford passenger, and is probably 9 1/2 and has fingers too closely spaced to work with early Ford throwout any way. Some Merc and truck setups are compatible with early trans throwout.
