Very Cool! With a history to boot...Priceless! You will have to keep some sliced limes in the cockpit when you drive it to get the grin off your face. :D:D:D

If the back of the diff says "EAT ME" I have pictures of it on the trailer at the Turlock Swap meet...

I don't really know if I care, as such, but I do like the coupe.
Noice piece of history you have there.
    Congrats.

  7. Man, that car has been all over the country. I hope it finally has a permanent home. It conjures up a lot of memories for people that see it. I saw it in Knoxville and drooled all over it.

First trip out of the garage this morning. First to arrive for breakfast. First to still be tickled as all get out to own it!

Gonna run steel wheels with Moons with new tires on the street and keep the magnesium wheels with M&H tires for show.

Damn thing scats!! Right down Main St!!

I saw the cop about the time I hit second! I immediately backed her down and idled by the nice police officer and nodded to him and smiled. He smiled back!

    Having fun,

    Hamtown Al

  11. Over 2 pages of replies and nobody has asked what it runs for a drivetrain? What makes this little coupe so fast? Engine/tranny/rearend?
Oh, and I've very happy for you...I care.

Glad to see a hamber got ahold of this survivor and to hear that
you have intentions of keeping it as is and driving it!
Any plans to make it to any shows/races out West next year?

I working on coming up with a tow bar that I can use to flat tow the car behind this pickup.
Before anyone asks, it is running a built 53 Merc flathead w/Offy heads, manifold w/4bbl carb, open drive 40 floor shift 3 spd, 67 Mustang rear on CE spring kit. It is sweet, too, to me.
The two together, to me, are a nearly perfect pair!

Hey Al. I am so glad that you are happy with the car, and I know you will be a great caretaker for her. It was a real pleasure to meet you and nice to know there is somebody out there who is as sick as I am for this old iron. I had a great time putting the car back on the strip and giving her hell. I believe that we are all just caretakers of this old stuff and it is important to give somebody else the chance to do the same; It will out live all of us!

Yes, we hit the Turlock swap on the way back from Eaglefield in Oct. Yes, I had written "eat Me" on the rear diff! I always wanted to put that on a car which for those that remember Animal House and their float/cake that said Eat Me; Loved that.

oh, I guess I need to change my avitar. Mike
