The 50 Olds i recently bought is finally on the way to its new home in So Cal . I am so stoked, cant wait to get her and put some nice dual exhaust and give the front end a little attitude with lowering about 1 1/2 inch. The she will "sit" just right.

Tman , Not doing to much besides the exhaust and the rake, it doesn't need much. Engine and tranny have 200 miles on complete rebuild. Maybe change the carb to a 4 bbl down the road

  5. Thats the thing, those cars do not need much, but you will nail the stance and that is what matters!

  6. Used to drag race a '50 Olds back in the late 60's. If you've still got the 303 in her...put some 1.6 rockers on it to add some pep.

As was said......they don't really need much.

A buddy had a 50 years ago with a later 394 in it. Very cool car. Until the LF wheel came off on an interstate exit one night. Didn't really hurt much, just scared the shit out of us...

Factory were 1.6. You want to use the rockers from a 324 which are 1.8. Either way bitchin looking car.

  26. Kind of weird seeing a guy from So Cal waiting for a car to be shipped.... it's usually us poor folks in the Midwest or out east waiting for a car from out there!! beautiful car.. GM had it right with those Olds and Buicks...coming from a Ford guy!

This was a 5yr plus search for the right car. There not as plentiful as Fords, and some others. If I would have found one like this local for sale, it would have been a bonus. I am just happy to get the car .
