I reckon if you do a search you'll find it has been done. But by all means, let's see some more.

Anyone have the November '64 issue of Rod and Custom handy? IIRC there was a photo of an Australian customized '39 or '40 Plymouth coupe in the Readers Write column - sweet looking car but I don't remember the owner's name.

    Here's a couple for you...

The 'Sedoupe' cut down sedan first appeared at the 1967 Roselands Hotrod show in Sydney, in plain gold metalflake paint, without all the graphics in these pics, but the body and sidevalve V8 are the same as I originally remember it from 67.

The other 2 are 'classic' Aussie 33-34 coupes, channeled but not chopped, and with deuce grilles. I believe they weren't chopped back in the day because there was a lot of wood in the Australian coupe body, and the roof curves were much more rounded than US bodies. They had deuce grilles because Ford Australia didn't produce a 'proper' coupe until 1933, so they were the closest we could get to a 'gennie' deuce coupe...

    Cheers, Glen.

Yes, that was metalflake purple & was owned by George Clarke. That car is now a 9 second street car owned by Mario Callilao (spelling) I believe George now lives in the USA.
    Cheers Charlie.

Here is one I owned in the mid 80s. Wish I knew where it was now. Blue was back in the sixties, red was when I found it.

This car was built by Evan Issacs in Queensland, ran a studebaker v8 and sits on a 32 chassis. It had been through a few hands but I now have this car (well basic rolling chassis, grille and body anyway).

I would be 90 percent confident that this was Ray Lymberry's car from Wollongong (Coasters was an early club down here in which I think the sedoupe was part of) I do not know what happened to this car, but did once find with my father a complete rolling 32 chassis which resembled this roadsters with the removed front and rear horns, stainless front rail covers, fully dressed flathead and chrome diff/suspension. Would love to know what happened to the body.

Just found the Nov. '64 Rod & Custom clipping about George Clark(e)'s '39 Plymouth; does anyone have more photos? That front end treatment sounds interesting.

Well now i do. It was on EBAY last week in Victoria. Looks a bit different now but no mistaking the back window which wasFJ Holden. Spoke to the current owner who had no idea about its history. Sent him some photos. ImageUploadedByTJJ1362990334.921601.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1362990349.471578.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1362990370.638143.jpg for sale for $59,000
