Hey guys, I'm trying to get a measurement from each of you running the stock front frame on leaf springs. What I need is a measurement from the ground to the underside / bottom of the front-most frame rail (where the front bumper brackets mount to the frame). Along with this measurement I need front tire size, and whether or not you have the front sheet metal group on or off. If you don't have an engine installed, include that info also.

While I'm at it, I wanted to invite any of you who aren't already members, to join the 55-59 Chevy / GMC pickup group. I'll be updating it with links to other members build threads and some new parts and tech info soon, but feel free to post anything pickup related that you like.

Also wanted to give you an idea of my build...the last couple of pages explain why I'm asking for this measurement, and there's a photo showing my trucks current stance.

    Thanks everyone

Hope this helps. 171/2" to the ground from the bottom of the frame at the very front with no bumper mounted. Tires are 225/75/15. Truck is a rolling chassis with no motor, glass or anything else(about as weightless as they get).
