wow, I finally have seen another one. I have a 57 lcf, that is in getting paint and body.. home soon. I mounted the cab on a 1980 Chevy 1 ton, rolling chassis.. they sure are kool looking. oh ya, I flatened the floor so I could fit my big feet in there, and the engine is mounted behind the cab... soon I will learn how to put up pics...Lloyd
Now the front is bagged with 3 inch drop spindles. The pics are from my phone with a terrible light In the back ground... Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
I need at least a 19.5 wheel to look proportional I believe... The tire is currently 30 inches tall... I think I need a 33 or 34. Here's another cool lcf.. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
My back cab wall and roof are fried so a big window cab donor is on the list... Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
The truck is already mounted on an 80's frame so this is a direct bolt in.. to use the cross member on the original frame would have taken modification... They are close in width though.. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
hey Cowoc, that is mine in the other pics.. the one with the big back window...what a cowincidence....lol Rockin Rebel
Lookin' good cowoc58! My buddy Andrew and I did the work on this one for rockin rebel on here: We had to change the roof because the rear corners of the cab were banged up pretty bad from a tilt deck that was on the original frame, and mice had been living in the roofs inner structure and it was rusted from the inside, plus the big back window looks way cooler! We mounted the cab on an '80s GM 1 ton frame that was already stretched and had the flat deck already. I heard that this truck was getting body work recently but I haven't seen it in a couple of years.
No, LCF was a term used by Chevy when these trucks were new. It is a old term and there is a difference between a LCF and a COE.
I read it different the first time, but going back I see what you meant....Sorry. regardless, here are some pictures. I think they are cool.
