Okay guys, Cinderella found her Slipper! D_Lazaris and I mocked the T today with the 1951 Nash engine the D_lazaris has been working of for the last three years, I fell in love!
I wasn't for putting a Nash engine in my Ford T but Dimitri was talking to me about how nice his engine was turning out, so we mocked it up and I really feel like this it the right choice. It just seemed to fit the chassis right, not to big and certainly not to small. So now it's a win win, I get to use this engine and D_Lazaris gets to use the V8 flathead!
Also for kicks and giggles we put a little black on the car to see what it would be like, I like it but I know it's what you find a lot of T's to have, I like being different will the Nash engine be enough?

Wow Amy! That's gonna be a neat combination. Flathead sixes have a sound all their own. Looking forward to seeing it come together.

That engine will set that T apart from all others. Hopefully I'll see this cruising around, I'm not that far south of you.

Next logical step is to make the chassis a roller. Get your front end worked out and installed, then do the same with the rear end. It always gives you a boost when you see it up on wheels for the first time.

After that you can start working out the crossmembers, steering, and getting the engine mounted.

What a cool little jigger, Y blocks are cool, but the inliner is a great choice!

Sooo glad your using the T frame! Pople talk them down but they have been used for years. Yours has made it so far together it would suck to split it up. Glad I found this thread today. I can't wait to see it on wheels. Getting it rolling doesn't take much and it gives you a great boost of motivation. Plus it makes it a lot easier to work on. Lugging axles around the yard is a pain in the ass.

No Problem with non-ford engines Amy, we're using a 1934 Dodge flathead 6 for ours. Yours will be a class act.

Haha I know I was just originally going to go with all Ford because I really didn't want anything to do with Chevy... But I feel so good about this Nash! I put in it there and it felt right! So Nash it is! Should I put more Nash parts in it to even it out? Or just leave the engine Nash? Why I ask is because D_lazaris nash hupcaps I can use that have the Nash logo, shoe I go the route???

At the end of the day the only opinion that gets a say is yours. The choice of a nash in a ford is awesome. I love the motor look. The paint color, interior and wheels are all going to be a reflection of you. Your putting together a one off car for yourself. Go chrome go painted. Plain steel to full out custom. Your choice. Don't rush it out of convenience look for something that appeals to you taste and image of what the car will look like at the end.
The big question is...what have your named it?
