Those caps are a non-starter. Why do they do stuff like that??

Great stance. A buddy of mine has one of these for sale right now. I have been daydreaming about something very similar, but with skinny WWW's, late lancer caps, arrows, and a chopped duece shell with a horizontal bar insert, and a dual wcfb 283. But if I bring another car home right now, I probably wont have a home.

Sold the 2 piece polished 15X7 Torque Thrust II's that had 205-15's and 215-15's.
I tried the Dragmaster 15X7's and 15X8.5's but I could not stuff them in the rear.
So I changed to 15X6 and 15X8 Halibrand five spokes with 195-65-15's and 235-70-15's. Its tuff getting a lot of tire under the back of these... The rears are really hard to get inbetween the drum and the fender edge, and the taller tire gets really close to the dog leg, but the 8's clear much better and I like a little more rubber rake.

I just got the U.S. mags in black, and the center caps on them are even worse looking in person. I pulled the caps off my E.T. 4 wide front runners and the caps are the same bolt pattern so I would bet any American center would fit.

  13. That's good news
Thats a bitchen wheel at 100 Ish each

That combo looks very cool! I'm thinking no cap would work too!;)

No cap, or the flat caps would look cool too.
That is a decent looking wheel.

  17. That's great news! The guy at U.S. outright lied to me when he said that the American caps would not fit. I can see his point, though. You don't want to sell your wheel and have everyone putting your competitor's cap on it. They need to change their ugly cap to a more nostalgic-looking design, or everybody is going to run the old Torq-Thrust caps instead.

What sizes did you get? I'm curious what the 15x9 looks like in person.

Newer Americans have larger caps (diameter and BC). ET caps are the old style small bolt bolt circle.

    Hey Fellas,

Here's my '65 Buick SportWagon with 14 X 6 old school generic 5 spokes. I tossed on a set of the oval E-T caps.
