49 olds temp sender resistance?

Wiring a set of 49 olds gauges in my model a currently. My temp gauge works but not in the correct range on the gauge. I was chancing it with the oe sender from my 283 intake. So, I need to find the resistance of a 49 olds temp sender and or a part number for one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thought I could help but I measured 3 of them and they are all different. .2 to .6 all measured at about 65F. Using a S-W mechanical in the car. Back to the top for you anyway.

Could you but a variable resistor in the circuit then adust the resistance? Use one of those infared thermometers to get the target range.

 

I could, but I just dont think its necessary. A stock 49 sender im certain will fix this problem.

 

I should have a sender in the shop from one of my engines. Let me look. I will get back to you on it.
