  2. Hope I'm not one of the same 3. Trying to bring this back to its 1960 original build condition. Known as the "5 Aces" in the SFB area it was in 2 Barris Custom annuals. Thats all the info I've ever found about it. Sectioned 6", its the only full custom wayfarer convert. I've seen. Its waiting for me to decide on a color to paint it.

I did a 2" section and a 3" chop to mine. Doing a C notch in the rear, and triangulated 4 link. It has a Dakota front subframe and I have a 440/727 waiting to go in.

Mine's got a fatman front stub and built 440/727 combo. I'm interested in how you did the four bar, do you have any more pictures of that set-up?

Here was my 49 Wayfare convertable, First years were a manual top with plexaglass slip in windows. Found one on the east coast a few years back. I chopped it to 10" of glass, split manafold, 2 97's dumped the flush-a-matic. Ran good for the day, lost all of my pictures in a move, The kid who bought it gave me these 2, The drawing was mine and used to work on the car. Not bad for a 15 yr old kid. I have been told it went to the crusher?
    This was built in1955

Are we talking about the same thing (model name or body style)? All I remember is that a friend of my older brother had this semi fastback '50 Dodge that I loved. I'm a shoebox Ford guy, bu if I was offered the right '50 Dodge for my 70,000 mile '51 club coupe, I would really be tempted. From most of the pictures posted, I think you guys are talking about the same cars I loved!

I posted a thread about this one recently; I have the magazine someplace.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=727283&highlight=patterson+hurricane

My grandfather (who worked for King-Woodall Chrysler/Plymouth in Paducah) had the Plymouth version of the fastback he bought new in '49; he let my dad and my aunt pick out any car that was in stock and they got a red one. He used to race his future brother-in-law who had a '49 Frazer. Must have been some slow races...

That's easily the best looking 49-54 Mopar custom I've ever seen. Easily. The Buick wheels throw it off a little bit, but beautiful roofline and grille/headlight treatment. Very nice.
