  3. Here are some shots of when my pal Kenny (R.I.P.) built my Stude for D/G back in 68. The shot of it in the magazine is after I bought it 25 years ago and put it back together with the motor (mo 302) Kenny had in it. 1967 Chevy crate motor with a 4-speed and 58 Olds rear packin 5:38s

  6. Ya! I wish the ole boy was around to go for a ride! Well, maybe he is ridin over there.....

  7. If ya look closely you can see the Z/28 emblem Kenny had on the grill! After all he built it with a 1967 MO 302 Z/28 engine, remember this pic was 1968 the first year of that emblem but the second year for the 302 Z/28...

What parts are you looking for? I have owned close to a dozen 1939-40 Champions. Drove them for everyday transportation for years. Still have two.

I think the article on the Super Stude you are looking for is in the Oct 1967 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. It has a picture of a blue Vette on the cover. :D

Just bought the magazine today!!!!!!! Read the complete history on this Kool Ol' car! This IS the one!! Its in May 2013 Hot Rod Deluxe.. Slick

  21. great thread; I think these Studes look every bit as good as a Willys done up gasser style; if not better. Ron Colson is a local guy here, I need to hit him up sometime to see if he has pics/info on his old car.

check out the 41 coupe in this recent thread...photo 2

typically Studes dont get much coverage in magazines..and if they do , they are 53-54 coupes(dont get me wrong .. i like them too) so its great to see some coverage in these two issues.

Had a guy here on the HAMB photo shop some chrome steel wheels on my project car.
Tomorrow morning we fire up the grinder, and start cutting the Mustang II front out of the car to make room for a bar axle.

  29. There is a company now making forged polished aluminum wheels that look just like chrome steelies, got the look, without the weight!
