Anyone put a Poncho in a 28-29A?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Hackman, Nov 18, 2012.

  1. Reason I ask is that I am considering just such an install. I had orig planed on a pretty cool old school SBC that I have aquired. But upon much shit catching from my buddies, and there right, I think that this nice little 389 that I have is a good choice as well. Both would be backed by a 4 speed of corse.

I did a few searches and couldn't really find what I was looking for as far as technical info on this install.

If anyone has any info or pics out there I would appreciate your imput.

    Thanks guys,
    Brody

  4. Solo,
Neat looking project man. Thanks for the pics.

    Stude-sled,
That sedan is the only car I could come up with in the searches. Thanks for the info.

x2... I changed heads to 6x, cam, headers, HEI/with mods, homebrew t-ram with Q jets.....gears etc.... nothing $$ in entire set up. I won't back down frm anyone...Street racer sprcial! Been beat'n but it takes a strong car to do it... For the $$ invested I'm quite pleased

Thanks for sharing those pics, i've only seen the 2nd style Hurst mounts for the side mount engines in a brouchure. I have and use the 1st style for the early steel covers.
