Event Coverage Gassers at Greer, SC

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by seadog, Nov 17, 2012.

  1. I was supposed to go to a wedding today but at the last minute got a repreive. 'Drove the 50 some miles down to Greer, SC for the gasser event they had today.

Quite a few HAMBers there, ran into HOTRODPRIMER and his buddy. Weather was typical upstate SC November, sunny and cool. Saw some cool cars and took a few pictures. Feel free to post onto this thread if you have pics.

  12. Tom,I was surprised to see you and glad you made it,,that way I could watch the racing and not try to take photos of the Gassers in action.

My pal Greg Shreffler stop by Anderson in his Fairlane an picked up Gene Cromer and I followed them to the track.

I too saw a lot of Hambers there,,the Geargoyles car club was there in force as was the Sock Fokkers.

All of the racers put on a good show,,the Quain Stott & Greg Porter runs were great,in one run Quain decided toward the end of the run to get crossed up and show the side of his car,,,what a showman!:D

A lot of wheel standing,,,all in all I had a great time.

I only took photos in the pits.HRP

This Chevy ran strong all day,,

They didn't show times so that it would be more fun for the crowd to guess who the winner of the each race would be.
