Hi Just got thetope of my 64 le sabre wagon shot with a silver base and one jar of Roth Mega flake. I was wonder would for another jar of flake? And should add flames or scallops on the roof in candy blue. Or keep it simple.
Looks good to me the way it is. Reminds me of a time back in '64 when a co-worker was going to buy a new Oldsmobile. His wife said, "As long as it's a station wagon, you can get anything you want!" He ended up with a 4-spd and the biggest engine availble. His wife was pissed about how long they had to wait for delivery, but the first time she wanted to go to the grocery store, the shit really hit the fan! I wonder what ever happened to that car after the divorce?
I think the roof looks great, plenty of flake in there already if it shows up that well in pictures. I don't think I'd put flames or scallops on that roof. But that long, wide side trim and lovely wheel arches would take nicely to a Watson style outline panel job in a just slightly lighter shade of blue against the current color. If you're determined to take it further, that's what I'd look at.
+2 ^ scallop the lower sides behind each wheel well without going above the wheel lip at the top. Mabey a thin pintriped white scallop to tie in the pinners
thanks for the help on what do . i plan on flaking out the side trim center that is silver now. I will be running redlines on it with the single ribbed rockets with the cast centers. i plan on shaving most of the emblems too and was thinking about the rear door handles.
I love the roof man! Get that luggage rack back on there! Are the bellflower tips going to be put on it?
