Calori's car certainly set the bar for '36 3W customs. I thought the rear treatment was the best you could do on a '36, so I copied most of it on mine: To my dismay, the guy who owns it now undid most of that:
I've sold a couple of cars where people thought it warranted telling me what godawful things the new owner had done to my ride.Hate that.Yours and Calori's coupe showed the right touch.
"You see Dennis, the guy who owned the car before me had no taste at all. The car was shiny black, and it didnt have any red at all! Luckily I had just sold my collection of Camaro's and I was able to save this car."

Haha, that's hilarious and probably true! I've always thought those tail lights were absolutely horrid.
That is too funny !!!! It looks so perfect the way that guy is talking to Dennis
im still in shock.
I've worked for Mecum for years and have had the privilege to drive the McMullin roadster and the Calori coupe all summer on display at our auctions and we also have kept both cars at our shop in Wisconsin all summer. They are both awesome cars and drive perfect and has been a real privilege to be around such a huge part of hot rod history.
WOW! Just WOW. Other wise speechless. And since I'll be at the auction, if I see anyone who looks like that guy, well, we just might have to have words.
I'm going to have to watch it on the laptop as I don't get Velocity on my dish plan. The hazzards of having the cheap plan.
I'm doing that now. it's 1:59 pacific time and the McMullen roadster is 4 cars down the list to be sold. http://www.mecum.com/infonet/in_video/infonet_live_video.cfm list http://www.mecum.com/auctions/consi...UCTION_ID=AN1112&consignday=Saturday&lottype=
