Thanks, I'm excited to be able to start on it now that I have a frame. It's a '29.

    Steve,
Can we have some more details of your Jimmy powered roadster?

I know you build super traditional rides, so I figure you'd have either a LaSalle or Packard trans in this bitchin' ride.

    Thanks in advance.

  10. How much do you know about the house?
    Cool pictures.

  15. Six Ball,

This was an idea I had for a '29 chassis- it'd look nice with the '29/'30 radiator shell and crank/frame horn cover:

Reminds me of the moonlight roadsters made by Holden in Australia in 1931 - 32. There was a restored 1931 example in a car museum in Auckland NZ that has just closed.

That would be a neat build, boat tails are cool and those fenders look like wings. I plan on using the crank cover but I may have to extend it. I'm thinking of moving the radiator back about 2 cylinders worth. I'll be running 153 four cylinder. I don't really know what year my Radiator and shell are.

That roadster is a beauty. Would a full sized person fit in the rumble seat? I hope the museum's collection didn't get into the hands of a bunch of hot rodders.

six ball - you have a 1927 commercial radiator shell there.

Yes I think you would look quite a cock in that dickey seat but I guess the Hooray Henry's of the day thought it was quite the thing.

Kume, Thanks. I like the shell I wanted a painted one. I figured it was for a truck. I'm will attempt to use the honeycomb radiator as well.

Thanks, I think it turned out ok, I had to make the cab 6" longer so I could fit in the thing. I also cut 48" off the frame so it would fit in my garage LOL

I can't tell in the photo but did you keep the Chevy spring set up in the rear' I'd like to see how you did that. Also, is your front axle above the spring?

If your asking me I used a 4 link in the rear with Jag coil springs. The front is a 3" drop axle I got from speedway motors with a few leafs removed. There is only a few inches above the spring to the frame.

  30. jmpowie nice job on the roadster! Hope to see you sometime over next summer. What color will it be?
