baspinall there should be another b pillar repair on my thread on the 29 coupe i did that was alot nicer then this . i dont care about rivets that are not visible on my car but thats a different story for a customer in my opinion .

so sick of re pop panels and have making lower patches down pretty decently . wish i had a pullmax to make the beads but this was all done with a bead roller english wheel and shrinker stretcher .

and after .. still have to add some crown to the bead



big dent that needs to come out before any welding

wheel well time






drivers side pretty close to being finished up besides welding in the wheel well patch and some detail work where the lower quarter patch meets the b pillar. will wait til the end for the wheel well d to having to make the subrails fit the 32 frame .

I think you need a trip out to Arizona, where it is warm, to work on my coupe. Ha ha

 

This thread really delivers. Wow is pretty much all I can say. I'll be following this one closely from now on. Do you think maybe the body laid on its side for a while? That could explain why one side is so much worse than the other. It also could have been in a car port with one side exposed to the elements. Who knows, all that matters is you're saving it. Hats off to you, man.

quarter drivers side was def exposed to the weather in one way of the other . i doubt it was on its side due to it being from the top of the wheel well down .

Hey Flop, The inner wheel wheels, where they have the 90 degree bend on the bottom, ado the sid under the bottom part of the subrails, or were the just tacked straight from the factory to the side of the subrail without the 90 degree from the factory??

they had a 90 from the factory but never had a solid enough car to know if they were spot welded . i fold them over tight and add a few welds


alot of unexpected rust today from the passenger door

going to make a skin tomorrow due to the orig skin being dented and stretched

 

not to good of a day for the door skin i was making !!

 

So, Flop is human after all! I was beginning to wonder. Excellent metal work(except that last bit!). Course that looks like some of my BEST attempts!
