The frame looks awesome! Can't wait to see it all together so you can start on the body modifications.. Here's a random idea. :)

Get it up driving with the body, stock as it is, and drive it to the LSRU next April.. Then by LSRU in 2014, have all the body mods and paint and stuff done. That would be freaking cool to see.

You are doing great job, what I can't believe is where you are doing it. When I lived in Kingwood in the 80s the home owners association would not let you change your oil in your own driveway, much less build a custom..

Texasspeed that is the plan, running custom taillights and grill by roundup and chop and paint next year.

Texasred, kingwood homeowners association can suck it...they haven't tried to get me on this yet, hopefully they mind their own f***in business.

Got my steering wheel in the mail, 51 lincoln steering wheel. Now I'm on the hunt for a steering shaft. The chevy shaft is different than the lincoln shaft. I would assume that a ford shaft would work as well. I've got a spot posted in the classified section, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Anyways here's some pictures of the steering wheel

If any one has a shaft that takes this steering wheel and you want to part with it let me know....Thanks

Roy and Manual are kicking ass on fixing this for me. Quarters will have a slight extension and 54 mercury taillights.

Alright, here are the good updates, we started the test fit of the 54 merc quarters and lights
Manual cut the old light out and started getting things worked out....

Here is the side profile, keep in mind this is a test fit. But, there will be no reverse light so a filler will be built between the taillight and 54 merc bumper

A slight contour will be added to help the taillight flow into the trunk area

Cool steering wheel...I cut the mounting center out of my wheel and welded a splined one back in. If not speedway has the keyway stub to weld on your shaft.

    Eric,

The 51 Ford shaft for certain is splined, believe the 49 and 50 are the same. Looks like the Lincoln is tapered keyed?

    Nice build!

Thanks everyone.....as far as the steering wheel I'll probably cut the spline out of the other wheel and put it in the Lincoln wheel....
