I took my son out to Harbor Freight for a few little things this morning, but I was sure to walk around making a mental list of all the stuff I'm gonna need for this winters projects!

Guys and Gals...don't forget to come back and update your progress through out the winter! We'll see who actually gets meets their goals!

Insulate my garage. Maybe that way I can actually stand to work in it this winter...

My 38 coupe is my winter project. Bodywork, engine + trans, glass, wiring, etc., the list seems endless but the winters are long here in the Northeast.

Well, like JJ, I've got a little girl on the way this Christmas.....Dec. 22nd to be exact....child #2, and child #1 will only be 20 mo. old by that point. I'll have 2 under 2!!! XP

Needless to say, I'm going to do my best to go balls to the wall to get mine drive-able by Christmas if I can...or at least have only odds and ends left. The car is over at Lucky's garage at the moment, he's doing some metal fabrication work that's way beyond my skill set. I'll be buttoning up the welds, etc etc. It's a 28/29 sport coupe that we're finishing the process of turning it into a coupester (as started by the previous owner).

You're gonna have to start a thread. I was eyeballing that transmission for a while but had to tell myself over and over that shipping would put me out of commission for a while.

That is seriously cool. Heck, if average joes never tried out to do anything, we wouldn't be where we are today. Henry Ford was an average joe. The Wilbur brothers were average joes too.. I'm not quite sure I've reached the level of "average joe" yet.

Keep chipping away at them. :)

    Stay warm,shovel snow,keep daily drivers running,repeat...

  18. This will be the winter of electrical work....going to completely re-wire the '53 Ford and dad's '47 Kaiser. The generator finally blew apart in the Ford so what better time to re-wire and convert to 12V. One of these days...I'm gonna finally get around to splitting the exhaust on the ol' 6.

I need to fix my old ROADSTER !!

It suffered a engine fire back in March 2012. I have basically done nothing to fix it  The insurance paid the claim and I have almost everything I need to fix it except the motivation.

It is just depressing to even go out in the shop and look at it.

BUT the wife ...wants to go to the LA Roadster show again in 2013
so I guess I better get busy.

I found a little Rambler that had been sitting for 20 years.
I figured with my current budget it would be a fun little project.
I got some lowering plates made from DaTinMan and if YoungRodder comes through with a gas tank this thing might be able to make a blanket run this year. :)

Work on this 1950 GMC. Maybe start my frame for my 29 Essex. Or drag the 35 ford PU in from its resting place and finish the cab chop.
