hello from kansas ive been using this place to help me with my 1928 sport coupe project im glad i joined i have a 59ab flatty with a 3spd toploader and a vern av8 k member im having a hard time finding out if i can convert the trans to an open drive shaft and still b able to use the k member or is there another trans i need to find the reason i want an open drive shaft is so i can use a 9 inch rear any help would b appreciated
The question of an open drive line behind a top loader came up in conversation the other day.. I will be watching this to find out what they say.. For now the best I can offer is a 49-50 Merc was an open drive line with the 8 bolt pattern but it was a side cover unit. No idea how any of this affects your K member
