The Tardel "Help" book about early Ford brakes shows a reproduction cast pedal box mount on page 26 and a new pedal arm on page 27. It says: "We offer this new pedal and pedal box as replacement parts."

Do they actually sell these items?

I've never seen them listed on the website, and I haven't gotten a response to my emails.

I'm researching '32 brakes and am aware of how to modify parts, but am curious about these items. Any info?

Why not send them an email and ask?

"...and I haven't gotten a response to my emails."

    Thanks.

I emailed them as far back as Feb 2011 and again recently as well, but know that communication is not their strongest asset. I have a Tardel K-member, so I know do they make quality products.

  4. I've heard that sending Mr. Tardel a fax is the best way to contact him.

We have been dealing with Vern's parts for years, and it is not something we have ever been able to get. I don't know if he was planning on producing them and never did or if he did a long time ago and isn't any longer- but they are not available as of right now. Next time I see him I will be sure to ask what the full story is.

    True.

Vern said to me one time, "I don't have time for these new fangled machines."
    (computers and emails)

"If you send a fax, I'll eventually get around to reading it."
(and include a telephone number he can call you COLLECT at; any time of the day!)

He WILL eventually get around to your request.

See if you can hunt down Mike Bishop...I think he posted about prototyping the pedal box for Tardel some years back.

Thanks for the additional information, guys.

    I had sent a fax. I'll see if I get a response.

Rob @ So-Cal -- thanks for the info. At least I know I'm not crazy. I think these pieces would sell if they ever produce them.

Bruce -- I will try to contact Mike Bishop. I hadn't thought of asking him.
