Chrome Plater Josh

So we've all heard the saying "You can't polish a turd." Well I now stand corrected!!! I bought a 1949 Chevy license guard for cheap on ebay but it was in bad rusty / pitted condition. I modified it by reforming the contour so it will fit my odd shaped bumpers, took a large section out of the middle and added a back piece to it as well as a hole for a light. My welding skills kinda suck so by the time I got through with everything I was starting to doubt if it was even gonna work.

I read a lot of great things about Chrome Plater Josh on the HAMB so I sent it off to Custom Metal Finishing in Indiana. I just got it back and HOLY CRAP! It looks like a NOS license surround from the 50's! The chrome is beautiful and the finish metal work they did is amazing. The price was VERY reasonable as well. They now have a customer for life and you should not hesitate to send your chrome pieces their way.

Nice props to Josh but he left the family business. Good to see the quality is just the same.
