I’ve been slacking, maybe it’s my hipster rich environment finally rubbing off on me. It’s been a week since the 2012 Revolution and I’m finally able to sit down and share my photos after so many great threads have been posted and shared. With in keeping in tradition I decided to shoot this years show once again on film and take the extra time and money to capture what I feel is the grit and essences of the show in black and white. So here are my humble offering to the HAMB community from this years Hot Rod Revolution . I find myself trying harder and harder to close the gaps on my own project after The Revolution every year. It’s awe inspiring and has such a sense of prestige its almost indescribable until your there and you see the amazing collection of cars and people in person. I just want to thank Camp Mabry, Ryan, The Kontinentals, Mercury Charlie, The crew from ASS , Jeff from Sugar City Speed Shop, Elrod,TexasSpeed (Matt) and all the fine folks from near and far who brought an unmatched level of cars to my backyard…Thank you Thank you Thank you.
If there was one car at this year’s show that stuck in my head more than any other I would say it would be Jeff’s “Wizard”. This car in my opinion is the embodiment of the little pages and was a true pleasure to see and shoot in person. Every detail of the car is perfect and the owner is one hell of a nice guy who is doing some really forward thinking projects for the hot rod community
Your film shots always makes me want to try harder with my old junky cameras. Great shots as usual. That was an awesome weekend. Thanks for letting me crash on the couch too!
Wow!!!! Great pics and I'm honored you thought so highly of my '35. Probably the coolest compliment I've ever got would be the "embodiment of the little pages". I'm sure you could find a few things out of place on my car but that's exactly what inspired me to build it like that. So thank you!!!! I am really humbled that the car is received so well by my peers. Cheers!!!! I must have missed that black RPU. That thing is pretty bitchin! I also really like Blake's '32 sedan. That's a keeper!!!
Right click save right click save! Great meeting you! Wish that weekend was still going on now. Looking forward to 2013!
