They didn't bend that front bumper up did they? Looks tweaked down on the right side in the movie shot.

when shawshank redemption was shot here my dad was asked at a local show if he knew anyone with old cars and helped him round up all the cars in the movie . lots of local cars and faces in the movie. mom drove a friends falcon in it . dads econoline truck spent an entire day on set. at one point morgan freeman was leaning on it during the shoot . he did put a small dent in it but it pushed out easly. sadly all of that was cut out. still have the license plates they put on the cars among other things.

They filmed a short in Asbury Park a few years ago called "Exit 102"...
My Mustang got in a couple shots and was supposed to be in the "BIG" drag race scene...but I got hit by a car while riding my motorcycle and spent the remainder of the shoot in intensive care instead.
Did get a great picture with Frank Vincent standing next to it though....

  8. At 1:33 you can see my grandpa's train... in the next scene my grandpa is in the scene but you can only see his arm in the top left corner... on a regular TV you can see all of him.

I don't know how the bumper got bent up but I suspect it was before the movie was made. I didn't own the car at the time of the movie. I bent it back a little when I bought it. I'll tell you one thing the movie did....all that driving in the red dirt of California gave the undercarriage a good layer of red dirt crud that I am still slowly getting off.

My 65 Harley was in "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid. I did all of the set up rides prior to Dennis being filmed. 4 full days on the set in Toronto and NY City resulted in about 20 seconds of movie time.

my 1965 dodge coronet and my 1964 dodge 330 were in a movie called Rhythms, a story about some 80's rocker getting a 2nd chance on life, this photo was going to be the DVD cover if that mover ever got sold,

    Attached Files:

  15. Back in the 80's my 41' Ford convertible was in a 1/2 hour Time Life 50's music infomertial. Got quite a bit of exposure with two or three video clips and a still shot of the car used as a back drop while Rick Dees pitched the record albums.

  16. My '54 was used a few years ago for a movie called "Flipped", directed by Rob Reiner.

Had a 57 Chevy two door post. It was used in a movie called Big Bully, it had Tom Arnold, Rick Moranis and Don Knotts. I met them and had lunch with them.

My OT '77 Ford was used in the movie "The Hammer" about the life of MMA fighter Matt Hamill. Several good scenes and sounds of the truck. It was driven by Raymond J. Barry who played Hamill's grandfather. I had him and Russel Harvard (Hamill) sign the glove box along with Susan Gibney in paint marker.

  20. My '36 Ford 4-door was one of 6 police cars in "Dick Tracy" with Warren Beatty.

  21. Years ago I built the 34 Ford "Death car" for use in "Bonnie and Clyde"..then it was reused in the second version also...dealing with movie producers is not a bunch of fun..

  23. my grandpas truck was in the grapes of wrath...

  24. Might be a little O/T but my old 21 window VW Bus was used in a commercial...dumb shits complained it was too slow, they forgot to take the parking brake off and roasted the shoes, drums, and wheel cylinders.
They bought me new parts, I put them on, I didn't trust them do do it, or anyone they had working for them.

Antibling, the one they crushed wasn't a Nomad. If you ever see it again, you can see door posts. From what I have heard, the crushed car was a turd. I probably have a worse specimen in my garage.
