Wondering if anyone has any info on these rocker covers. I've been collecting Olds stuff for a while now and have never seen a set of these. Who where they. Drags, boats, land speed car? The name just reads Anderson Engineering and thats it. They are pretty crude in construction but man I just can't stop looking at them. So, what do you guys think?I'm pretty confident in the HAMB search engines. Story is they came up from Texas in the mid 60's. (previous owner moved here) He has no idea where he got them. He says the 60's where ruff on him.Thanks.
sounds like you got a great deal on some very rare pieces Anderson Engineering does sound familiar but I've never seen a pair of those covers before
Bringing it back. Anyone have a SCTA participants list? Muroc list? Do lists like this even exist? Engine builders? Sponsor?
I don't know a thing about them but would LOVE to take them off your hands should you ever decide to part with them...
coldwar here is the bottom side of the covers next to some Edelbrocks. Like I said they are crude. But they do have some extra meat around the bolt holes and the corners.
I'd guess they may be home brewed. A guy by the name Anderson who was pretty good at pattern making and access to a foundry kiln. They're crude and could have been patterned in wood then cast. My metal shop teacher back in the 70's was a hotrodder in the 50's in Socal and he did some terrific sand casted stuff in his spare time around the shop.
I know this post is old. But, I still have them and still know nothing about them. 2 years is good for a btt.
no idea. I was thinking the lettering did not look like home brew, but, those sharp corners on the insides, look like they might even cause a leak where they don't follow the curve on the head. This thread reminds me of the real odd 4x1 Olds intake a while back. it was an odd name, and I don't think it ever was ID'd....not sure though.
I know this thread is just about as old as these rocker covers but..... I got me a set too!!!! Going on this....
