Here is a photo from the Nats East thread of the Anderson Industries built Malco Super Coupe. It was owned by Chris Lang. Per Dave Anderson, who handbuilt the unique body, the car was sold to a guy in Oklahoma, and the second owner wrecked it.

Does anyone know who the second owner was? Does anyone have any other pictures of this car? Does anyone know if any of the car survives or was rebuilt?

    Thanks,

    Jay

Hi Everyone.. I just found you through some searches! I work for Malco and just received a email from the new owners of the coupe. They are looking for any information about the car to help them restore it. Do you have any information they could use?

I was looking for info on the Super Coupe and ran across this thread. A friend of mine bought the car and is picking up a new body this week to start the rebuild.

Chris was a regular at 75-80 Drag-A-Way in the 70's and 80's. I took this photo during that timeframe.[IMG]

I always wondered what happened to this car.
Drove past the Ardmore track one Sunday when I was up there for a family reunion and saw it pitted along the fence.

There was an article on it in Super Stock & Drag Illistrated August 79.

Dads426- Thanks for the picture, we have found several but never enough..

Junior Stock- I think that would have been the weekend he rolled the car, If I remember correctly it was his first time to take it to the strip. We do have a copy of the magazine.

Jay Fitzhugh found the guy who made the original hood scoop. He is going to get started on a new one for us.

I know it has been a while but did you ever get the Malco Super Coupe back together? Any new pictures, info. I am 59 and lived in Norman. I know the guy well that owned that car and helped him work on the coupe and was at Ardmore drag strip the day he crashed.
If you have pics please post some! Thanks in advance, Danny in Oklahoma.

The owner passed away. His step daughter and I split up. I do not know where it is now.

After Jerry passed away, his widow sold it to one of his friends. It's still in the Lawton area.
