This is the first time that I couldn't get power at the load/unload site. I parked next to this big guy thinking I could mooch some power to release the car from the winch. As I was contemplating what to do (and not liking my options) the opportunity was lost. So I came home without unloading and leaving the car there in the trailer. I think it's time for the right portable power supply. We'll see what happens.

Yikes Jerry! Sure hope she's there when you get back (with your brand new Honda generator).

It was still there. This is the next day, Friday. I found a neighborhood I liked. Not to many people there, about 78 degree's. First time for me. The locals say Saturday is the big day. I'm about a 1/2 hour away.

Saturday was a miserable 54 degree's with a slight wind and occasional sprinkle's. Just a wonderful experiance all around but, a big crowd. All the cars have to vacate the premisis each night. I parked in the entrance of the walk in's. Lots of traffic, lots of looks.

Sometimes you come across one that makes you want to say "I'd trade for that". Then you recover.

This is Sid Wilde's '49. A beauty that I wanted to park next to but, the big drain prevented that.

I guess somebody was gonna' have to do this sooner or later.

It was time to go home. With a choke that wouldn't "unstick" it was an adventure.

After the GG show I thought it was time to deal with all these little things that have irritated me for a while. I've got a nick in the R 1/4 from Salina, a L door actuator that sticks and blows a fuse. Some "shrink back", etc.. Just a bunch of stuff that I couldn't take any more.

The scallops were prepped with the car and taped off. After the the "Sam Bronze" is shot and the car color sanded and rubbed, the scallops will be "reverse masked" and reshot.

The first "hard" rub. I should add that the "cut" process was 800 grit followed by 3000 grit.

Well, I screwed my knee up and it cost a week on this job. Taking my time. If I'm going to do it over it's time to do all those "little things," right?

With some cranky Stromberg's (post #1422) this was the perfect time to send them "home" to our resident (hamb) Stromberg guru "uncle max".
