I have a 29 Sedan with a 4" chop, channeled 3", and I pushed the driver seat way back past the B pillar, to make it comfy. I'm 6'-1". How do you guys do it in the pick ups, even without a chop. Looks awful tight in there, or am I'm wrong
Had a 31 pickup, chopped a bit more than yours.. Channeled 3" & chopped 5"... Had a mail slot back window...Made the firewall as flat & clear as possible... But I am only 5'7" and it was "comfy" to say the least!
'29 A Pickup. Chopped 6", Channeled 4". Seat on floor w/no back padding. And yes, It's a good thing to be 5'6"! At least the '28-'29 had a tall roof!
Here is my '29 pickup. Lengthened 4" behind the doors, '27 T coupe quarter windows added. Chopped 4.5", bed shortened 8", no channel. I'm 5'8" and fit real nice. My seat is from a Minivan.
Here is mine and my build, Pretty tight fit but I am 6' If it was any smaller inside I could not drive it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=540287&showall=1
Bump. Looking for pics of a 30/31 chopped 5". Thanks, Aaron Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I stopped growing at a more reasonable 5"9" In anticipation of owning chopped cars! Don't know what to tell you. I chopped my 33 Ford p/u 6". Extended the toe board a bit, & went with an automatic. I fit in it nicely, but I wouldn't if I were any taller. Same with my Stude. I un-channeled it when I sectioned it. That helped, but, if I were taller, or my legs longer it would start to get cramped. Maybe think about building a bigger car? They don't ALL have to be chopped!........well ALL my cars do, but not all cars in general
