Nice uni not sure if I missed it but is the front end in the original spot or moved an inch forward.I saw 2 different lines in the front end pics.

it is moved forward,and the rear is moved backwards to center the wheels up better in the wells.

Thanks for the offer I am replacing one floor pan on the drivers side and then doing some patching and when that's done it goes inside to take off the front and back suspension for the 4 link mm2 and the Z.

ill have too see if i have any cup pics, just basic 5" tubing. i had to offset the plate and yes it has 2600 all the way around.

 

Good to see the unibodys are being saved! 7 years ago everyone thought I was nuts for building mine.

hoping to get this ol truck finished up this winter.

 

Hey Ryno, did you body drop the truck at all or is it just laying frame? Trying to figure out what mine will look like. Mine lays frame but I think the body will be about an 1" off the ground or so. Where is yours sitting?

 

The body is not on mine that is why I'm asking. Want to prepare if it looks like I need to body drop it to get it low enough.

As soon as I finish another feature video that's in the works now I can start editing the one that Ryno & I shot early this month. It was a blast to hang at the shop and ride around in that bad ass truck!

well got the ol girl stripped down for paint this weekend.
the entry steeps where rusty from the top.i was in such a rush to try to finish this thing for the original goal that i just made it structural sound and left the steeps. like everything else, if you don't do it then, it will take awhile to get back too.well with the paint date looming , it was time to finish these off.

what they looked like to start, pretty typical unibody.



i decided to make all new pieces.they do offer these aftermarket, but that shit never fits anyways.
so out came the sheet metal,sheer and new baileigh bead roller for some custom steeps and kick plates.





the kick plates are rolled with a 5/16 std bead, the steeps are rolled with 1" wide indent







tacked in place
