Rick Bales heart attack,193257 on the HAMB

Is was great to hear that Rick is doing better. Rick is a super guy.and a true hot rodder. For those whoe didn't know Rick also punches louvers 32 LOUVER Company. He punches the small louvers in the dash plaques for the Frog Follies. Bob,Thanks for the updates. We will keep Rick and his family in our prayers

 

Bob, Tell him we are working on his coupe and have the chassis mods. tacked together. Hope that makes him feel better. Thanks for the GREAT news!!!!

 

Glad he's on the mend! Get that boy a laptop so he can be HAMBin'!

Great news,,,been thinking about Rick since we first read this post.

Keep us posted and hopefully, before too long, we will all hear from Rick himself.

 

Good to hear he is doing better.

 

Friday was a tough day for my buddy Rick. Thursday the doctors noticed his progress had peaked at too low of a blood pressure level and planned a Friday AM chest pump install.

Friday am the doctors thought Rick might be able to raise his blood pressure on his own. They allowed Rick all day Friday then around 5pm they took Rick back to surgery & returned Rick with a new pump at midnight.

I left the hospital Sat Am 12:15 to go home. Karen, Kari, Sharon and Jerry Gosi remained at Barnes Hospital.

This latest work will be a temporary set back for Rick, he has lots of family and friends pulling for him.

Lets all say a prayer for Rick and Karen,

I wish Rick the best. He is going to have ups and downs, that is pretty common. Just take it easy, one day at a time. Sounds like you have some great friends who are anxious for you to get the hell out of there and back to hot rodding with them.

Rick has been sedated both Saturday & Sunday. Besides having 6 operations in as many days the current concern is infection.

Both the doctors told Karen Rick is doing well.

Get well buddy!!!!!

 

After a weekend of being sedated Rick is starting to show improvement.

Around 1:30 this afternoon Rick was assisted in walking a short distance before sitting down. Later in the day he will once again walk a short distance.

Rick did ask what day this week I was heading to Scottsdale Az for Goodguys show. I did offer to bring my truck to put both he and his bed in my truck then head West. He said he would take a ride West another time.

Rick must be the "Rocky Balboa" of St Louis. This man can fight a tuff battle!!!!

YES WE DO!!!!!!!!! Rick keep fighting and try your best to stay strong. It will take a little bit to heal up, give yourself sometime. We've all been praying for you and the family. We want to come visit, but listening to Karen & Doctor's to allow for speedy healing. You have so many friends counting on you and praying for you. You can do this! We LOVE YOU MAN!!!

Bob, Thanks for keeping all of us updated on Rick's progress. Spent time with Rick in St. Louis on our retrun trip from Good-Guy's Indy. He and Curt planned their annual trip to SEMA and a stop-over garage tour in Presscott... Keeping Rick and his family in our prayers. Thanks again, Dave
