OK Jack, I have the photo you gave me and it's on the roster for the 10th Jalopyrama Hot Rod Show in 2013!
Here's a challenge to everyone, let's see if we can fill the Armory next year with all recent barn finds or hidden away finds! No repeat cars that have been in the Jalopyrama already. They need to be '62 or earlier and able to be brought to Annapolis on the set-up day before the show. According to size, I can only fit in between 30-35 hot rod inside on the Armory Floor. this could be a real "mind-blower" with the Armory filled with hot rods from long-ago just found.
The date can't be announced till next March when I meet with the Commander, but it should be near the end of October 2013. PM me with finds.

P.S. I have already been in touch with the owner of a Daryl Starbird built custom for possible showing at the Jalopyrama next year. It hasn't been seen for over 40 years. We also had a 5 wdw coupe, that hadn't been seen for over 50 years, scheduled for this past year but had a clitch with the current owner. So maybe that coupe will surface also next year at the show.

I met a guy a few years ago and he let me use his shop to build my 59 F100. I had been there a month or so when he shows me his shed, a 1940 Ford Deluxe Business Coupe has been in there for 25+ years. I told him as soon as my truck was out that was rolling in! We finished it this summer before the Goodguys show rolled through, Sorry no current pics but I will post an in process pic. 56 Desoto Hemi, Lasalle side shifter three speed and, vintage Bell axle. It is great to get these cars back on the road!

I'm only a couple of years behind him. I got my '32 5w in 1972 which had been sitting since 1962. I got it running just so I could drive it around the block a couple of times as I didn't have the $$$$'s to do the car the way I had envisioned it. I put it away and it hasn't turned a tire in anger since. HOWEVER, in the years since I've built over 20 cars (everything from restored Corvettes, street muscle cars, drag cars and oval track cars and a few hot rods both for myself and friends. I have everything NOW to do it the way I wanted back those many years ago and after a couple of projects clear out the 5w will be "on deck".

We tried to return the frame back the way it was in early 60s , before it got cut on. A great sound , the 327/365 roaring to life after setting since 1966.. Hope to marry body to frame next weekend.....
