Rubber tubing slicer

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by dirt t, Nov 1, 2012.

  1. Some where I saw a home made device to slice rubber tubing straight so you can slip it over a metal edge.
Anybody have a picture or a referance to the making of such a device.
    Thank you for your time.

You can use a 2x4 with a hole drilled in it and a razor blade sticking into the hole.

If you're asking what I think you're asking a good way is to grab a 2x4, drill a hole a little bigger than the size of the hose, then cut the 2x4 in half right at the center of the hole. Stick it in your vise with a utility blade wedged between the wood so it only comes halfway up. then draw the hose through the hole..
